Re: Sending parcels in the UK? Do Not Use Parcel2go

Thanks for this info Saul, I ask people buying from me to collect, Iv'e been building 'pedal steel guitars' and they are fairly heavy, but I wouldn't buy an instrument I couldn't try out first myself anyway.

Nice to have the site resurrected, hope you are all well.

Re: season greetings !!!!!!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy and (hopefully) Prosperous New Year. Not much point in me doing the lottery, I couldn't even win an argument :? , my wife will bear witness to that, anyway at my age I would probably forget where I put the ticket. :?: Best wishes to all :D :D :D Ron Mc

Re: Two months since the last post?

Hi Saul, its a shame to see the site going out of use, I know that I picked up a lot of computer related information from it over the years but as you point out people's needs and preferences change and there is nothing more to do than to try and cater for these changes. On the other hand, the site ...

Yes m8, I still have the marks on my butt from when I was 20 years old, everytime I see a rider come a cropper on the tv I feel it.

Re: BMW R1100RS 1997 Seat Recovering etc

You could be right Jeff, problem is there is a drought at the moment, albeit the wettest drought in history.

The river level at Bedford is pretty low so we are reduced to maintenance on the boat!

It looks good m8, you made a nice job of that, all that's required now is some decent weather in order to enjoy it

Re: Been and done it . . .

Hi Jeff, We moor at 'Bedford Boat Club' Bedford on the River Great Ouse, you can get right out to the 'Wash' and in to the Channel. I don't contribute a lot as I don't have that much 'computer expertise', I'm just a poor old retired engineer in his 'dotage' but I do look in most day's. God it's sad ...

Re: Been and done it . . .

Hi Max, I'm okay, the same caution applies to boating, 6 or 10 mph might not seem much, but when you are a 10ft beam going into a 10ft 6inch wide lock with a cross current, no brakes, even 3mph seems dangerous. The site seems very quiet now, you and Jeff appear to be the main contributers. Best Rega...

Ah! the joys of ageing Max, it comes to all of us, but with some it is more pronounced.
I do love this site and reading what all you youngster's get up to.

Re: Triumph Trident 900 Sprint

Hi Maximus and Bob, Thanks for the encouraging comments, but, I'm on the wrong side of 70 and before you say 'your only as old as you feel', I feel a whole lot older first thing in the morning. I think I will stick to the boat, it's more my speed now but it doesn't stop me appreciating a nice machin...
