email problems

Post by DonnieH » Wed Nov 07, 2007 6:30 pm

Hi
Im working away from home at the moment and have been using 3 mobile broadband for my connection. Up until a few days ago my email has been working fine.

However, I cannot send emails. I can recieve fine but when I try to send I get an error message that says,

'Sending' Reported error (0x800cccc69):' The server responded: 550 IP in XBL'

I am using windows vista and have tried OE 2003 and windows mail and both report the same error. Sending via webmail is fine.

I've check my IP in dnsstuff for spam and all looks clear.

Any ideas?

Can you tell me what domain you are sending email through and I will check to see if there are any problems at the server end of things.

Normally that error message means your ip address has been blacklisted for sending spam, however I have checked your ip address, as you have and it is not listed as far as I can tell.

I will delve into this further and see If I can find out what is going on.

For anyone else who may want to check if their ip address has been blacklisted a couple of good places to start are www.spamhaus.org and www.spamcop.net
