I wanted to upgrade the sound quality but a soundbar was out of he question as they were all too long (width) for my 38" Panasonic TV.

I bought one of these from Panasonic:-

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1

Added the cables that Amazon recommended and all up and working within an hour.

One problem - Apple TV had a voice/lipsync problem and the latest Apple 4 isn't adjustable. A search on the web and the answer was to set the sound to Stereo and to turn off the HD screen savers which are downloading in the background. Once I had done that, everything is great.

We occasionally get lip sync problems but usually turning something off and on again does the trick. It's not so bad now we have the new tv though.

May need to check the cable arrangement again to sort out the turning everything on/off from one remote.

The Panasonic looks good. :)

We have the Yamaha SRT 1000 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yamaha-Electro ... a+SRT+1000 which no only sounds good but is large enough for the tv to sit on top.
