timed out

Can anyone explain why I get a timed out response when I try to log into nationwide website? It used to work fine on my laptop, but suddenly stopped. I am at the moment abroad but could always get to it, I mean, that's what internet banking is all about isn't it. Get no joy via Facebook Nationwide. Have cleared browsing history.
