From Windows 7 on HDD to Windows 10 on SSD

Post by RakeshJ » Mon Nov 12, 2018 11:02 pm

So I've got an SSD I've been meaning to install, and now I've bought Windows 10, it's probably the right time to.
I have Windows 7 on my normal HDD I use right now, but I also want to install the SSD + upgrade to Windows 10, onto that SSD.
After googling around, I see a lot of different things being said as to what to do. I have the Windows 10 ISO on my USB. Do I upgrade my Windows 7 to Windows 10 on my HDD, install the SSD, then 'clone' the OS to the SSD? Do I have to completely wipe my HDD? Do I remove my HDD, install the SSD and run the USB with it to put Windows 10 on it, then plug the HDD back in as a secondary HDD? I have no clue what I'm doing.
