Windows 10 built in hotspot feature broken on 1809

Post by Pranit6 » Fri Sep 13, 2019 9:40 pm

This feature was working well a month ago tethered with both WiFi and Ethernet. However, now, when I try to connect a device to the Windows hotspot the device prompts me that there is no internet connection, even though I have an internet connection on my PC. I've tried to run Windows troubleshooter, use an static IP address on the device I want to connect, disable and enable the drivers and the WiFi Direct Virtual Adapter, and still nothing. In settings it prompts that there are no devices connected (0 out of 8 connected) even though my phone is connected. I really need this feature, as my phone is far away from the AP and I use my PC with Windows Hotspot as a signal amplifier for my phone. Any help would be really appreciated.
