Super bright colors after Playing a game?

I have a weird problem with my new pc which I just built. After playing games sometimes when I come back to desktop the colors look very "in your face" and bright even the icons in "this pc" look bright yellow and I can fix it by going to Display settings > Advanced display settings > Display adapter properties > List all modes > By selecting inferno slot machine a 55 printing cheap color copies different refresh rate and color bit then coming back to my default 1920 x 1080 32bit 60 hertz. After doing this the colors look normal again. I tried capturing when the colors are super bright in a screen shot but the screen shot comes out normal. This is a really weird issue I don't even know where to ask or what to google. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
